Everyone can register on this event. They do not have to be a member of Nihongo Kyouiku Gakkai.

Presentation right

The participant who is accepted to present by the selection team and has already paid presentation cost in the predetermined period (from May 3 to August 11, 2016 at the very latest).

Presentation category

Paper presentation

Time : 30-minute presentation (include time to change over to the next presenter)

Form: 25 mins presentation + 5 mins Q&A.

Poster presentation

Time: 120 mins (have to stand by next to the poster at least 60 mins)

Form: A1 (60 width x 84 cm length/height)-size poster display.

Panel presentation

A panel is a 2 hour session, including time for questions, usually consisting of 3 to 4 papers integrated under a panel topic. One of the presenters of the panel should act as facilitator of their own session. On-line submission:

  • Language of presentation (English or Japanese)
  • A panel topic and brief description (English 300 words/ Japanese 500
  • characters)
  • Abstracts of each paper (English 300 words each/ Japanese 500

  • Names of presenters (may include a chair/moderator/discussant)
  • Technology/facility requirements
  • Additional applicants’ Email address, applicant type, and affiliations

Registration rule and the number of presentation

Everyone who wants to register as presenter can only present maximum two titles (two oral presentation / one oral presentation and one poster presentation / two poster presentation).

Presentation content

  1. The theme is related to Japanese language education. It has to be original and not been published anywhere.
  2. We do not accept content/document that is being proposed to be an article/presentation in another journal/seminar at the same time.
  3. The presentation title and the presenter name that are registered cannot be replaced.

Refereeing procedures

  • All proposals (other than invited papers) will be refereed by a panel of experts.
  • Your nominated discipline will be used in choosing readers of your proposals.
  • There are a limited number of presentation slots and only accepted papers will be presented
  • Abstract accepted will be announced on May 2, 2016 (FIRST CALL) & May 25, 2016 (SECOND CALL) by email.

Abstracts and Supporting Documents

The presenters whose abstract were accepted by committee must prepare the paper for Proceedings. The Paper must be submitted through the individual account created when you submitted abstract. Please refer to the format of the paper below.

Please be informed that USB which contains all the accepted papers will be distributed on the conference day. Printed proceedings will NOT be published.

You can bring/distribute another supporting documents at the presentation day. Please prepare the documents by yourselves. The committee does not provide the copy service.

(3) Length of the Paper

  1. a) Poster presentation:2 to 4 pages (A4 size)
  2. b) Oral presentation: 2 to 4 pages (A4 size)
  3. c) Panel presentation: in total 7 to 17 pages (A4 size) consisted of:

– One page for Objectives of the Panel

– 2 to 4 pages for each presenter’s presentation topic
